Overview
About the program
Using an interdisciplinary approach, students at Women's Studies program of Mississippi University for Women in the major critically examine the social construction of gender and the gendered status of women in diverse cultural contexts and time periods. The major emphasizes both scholarly exploration and the application of knowledge to practical women’s issues. Any student graduating with a major in Women’s Studies will be required to earn at least a C in all major courses.
