Overview

The three-year Pre-Physician Assistant program from Western New England University provides an opportunity for qualified students to prepare for admission to the Salus University Physician Assistant Studies program.

After a successful admission to Salus, you will have the opportunity to be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Western New England and a Master of Medical Science from Salus through the 3+2 articulation agreement.

According the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS), a Physician Assistant, also known as a PA, practices medicine under the direction of physicians and surgeons.

They are formally trained to examine patients, diagnose injuries and illnesses, and provide treatment. Physician assistants work in doctor's offices, hospitals, clinics, college campuses, and other healthcare environments.

The BLS predicts, that "employment of physician assistants is expected to increase 30% from 2010 to 2020, much faster than the average for all occupations."

Official High School Transcript: Applicants who are still in high school must have an official copy of their high school transcript through junior year sent to WNE. Some students may be required to submit senior year grades.

Affidavit of Support.

Bank Letter: Submit an official letter from your bank (on the bank's stationery) declaring that the financial sponsor has sufficient funding to support the student's education at Western New England University.
