Discover how the University of Michigan Flint History program prepares students for the future. History Online courses make it possible for students to learn anytime and anywhere. We offer a mix of online course options that range from fully online and asynchronous, to mixed mode courses that offer the flexibility of online with the immersive experience of hands-on learning.

Prepare for Your Future Through the Study of History

As a disciplined and rigorous study of the past, history teaches students skills that involve research, analysis, and writing and that span several subject areas. We build these skills in our students inside and outside the classroom with experiential opportunities and engaged learning—many of which are enhanced by additional funding through the Wyatt Endowment. Since history prepares our graduates to enter a range of career fields, we believe strongly in mentoring our students throughout the degree-seeking process. Each history major or minor receive one-on-one advising so they can put their degree to work.
