Overview
Pre-Licensure:
- Traditional BSN: In five semesters, complete your general education, pre-requisites and upper division nursing courses.
- Accelerated BSN: Already have a bachelor's degree? Complete your nursing bachelor's degree in only 13 months.
- Paramedic to BSN: Graduates of an accredited paramedic program can apply their clinical experience to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at WSSU.
- LPN to BSN: Practical nurses with a state license to practice in North Carolina and one year of direct patient care can apply their experience to a bachelor's in nursing degree.
Post-Licensure:
- RN to BSN: If you're a registered nurse going back to school, you need a bachelor's in nursing degree program with the flexibility to work into your active life. Our RN to BSN path is online and only takes three to five semesters.

- Submission of Financial Statement.
- Completed Application for Undergraduate Admissions and the $50 (U.S. dollars) non-refundable application fee.
- Official records of your courses and grades from all secondary schools and universities you have attended. These records must be notarized. Certified non-English transcripts or grade reports should be accompanies by official (literal, not interpretive) translations.
- If English is not your native language, even if English is the medium of instruction in your home country, you are required to take the TOEFL or IELTS which are administered at many sites worldwide.
- Before admission to a degree seeking program can be completed, an applicant must document availability of sufficient funds for the first two semesters of enrollment.
