Medical lab scientists are professional healthcare team members who apply their skills to an ever-broadening range of complex laboratory diagnostic and research activities.

This Medical Laboratory Science program at Miami University includes an interdisciplinary blend of classes in chemistry, microbiology, and zoology.

Careers

After becoming professionally certified, medical laboratory scientists generally work in hospital laboratories, private laboratories, public health laboratories, industrial laboratories, research institutions, teaching institutions, and in medical programs sponsored by such groups as the Peace Corps and Project Hope.
