How is archival research conducted? You’ll learn to think critically, understand differing interpretations and viewpoints and become a better citizen as you take 44 credit hours towards a Bachelor of Arts degree.

You’ll also have real opportunities beyond the classroom with travel, service-learning, History Club activities and internship experiences. And because we design our history program to be responsive to the exact needs of the marketplace, it will be a relevant major if you’re considering a career in research, teaching, public relations, the travel industry, library science, politics, public policy, law, journalism, advertising, archives and museums and related professions.

The study of History at Concordia University, St. Paul is not only about the past, it is also about the present and the future. A student in this program will learn to think critically about change over time and how contemporary society has been shaped by all those who came before. The program stresses both global and community education. The program offers students the global knowledge they will need to compete in the 21st century. At the same time, students can experience and witness local history first-hand.
