Overview
During this Law and Economics programme from Central Michigan University, you’ll learn to think critically about complicated situations and gauge how others are likely to react.
This unique programme is one of just a handful in the United States. If you want to go to law school, you'll get reasoning and argumentation skills you'll draw on for years to come. And you'll get a broad overview of individual rights and the legal systems that complement work in many other disciplines.
Classes in economic theory will contribute to your analytical and decision making skills. Business law courses will expose you to basic legal concepts, such as contracts and property rights, various issues in discrimination, and regulatory environment of business. Beyond that, have the freedom to take courses in other areas that interest you. (A variation of this programme is also offered through the College of Business Administration. Students in that programme take more required business courses, and take fewer elective classes.)
Programme Highlights

- Learn the language used in law and microeconomic analysis.
- Join Phi Alpha Delta, an academic pre-law fraternity of students who are interested in careers in law.
