Highlights

The School of Nursing and Health Studies Accelerated Nursing Program, is designed to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s nurses. The Accelerated BSN Program at University of Miami is a fast-track program with start dates in May and January and is perfect for students committed to earning their BSN in just 12-months.

The curriculum includes a blend of clinical and classroom education to ensure that our Accelerated BSN students are ready for their NCLEX examination and clinical practice in one year.

Hands-on care is an integral part of our curriculum, student’s work with a wide variety of 170 clinical partners, including University of Miami Hospital, to provide outstanding clinical training and education to be able to provide unmatched patient care.

General Requirements

  • Complete and submit the Common Application. Upon submitting, you will be asked to pay a $70 nonrefundable application fee.
  • If you have attended a secondary school outside of the United States, you must submit your official secondary school documents (transcripts, mark sheets, certificates, examination results, etc.)
  • We require you to submit two letters of recommendation: one from a high school guidance counselor and one from a teacher. 
  • The University of Miami is need-aware for first-year international undergraduate applicants. This means that, for a portion of international applicants, the Admission Committee will consider that student’s ability to pay tuition without the need for financial aid.
