Whether driven by technological innovation or world events, accounting and finance are at the heart of decision-making in today's fast-paced business environment.At the University of Wyoming College of Business, we focus not only on the procedures and conventions followed in accounting, but more importantly, on developing the professional skills essential to future success. On the Finance program you will learn essential skills such as teamwork, listening, communicating (both orally and in writing), synthesis, evaluation, and critical thinking.To achieve our goals, the Department of Accounting and Finance plans for, monitors, and assesses its programs.

Career

With a UW accounting or finance degree, career possibilities include: certified public accountant (CPA); information manager; chief financial officer; corporate controller; certified financial planner (CFP); business manager; certified internal auditor (CIA); bank examiner; certified management accountant (CMA); Internal Revenue Service agent; FBI Special Agent; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agent; and management program trainer.
