The Hague University of Applied Sciences

Den Haag, Netherlands
Let's change. Thats what The Hague University of Applied Sciences encourages everyone to do. We want to change and improve the world we live in. But that can only happen if we work together, evolve and change ourselves. If we take a critical look at our present and future situation, we will see that we need new perspectives and solutions.

The primary objective of The Hague University of Applied Sciences is to provide high-quality education. The Centre of Expertise fosters this by:

  • Carrying out large-scale research with students at SMEs, with cyber security as part of the research course in the curriculum.
  • Contributing questions from our partners, whereby our students are educated in fields where demand actually exists.
  • Creating cohesion between the curricula of related degree programmes: especially those within the domain of IT and PLS but also those outside of this.
  • Developing new degree programmes.
  • Offering initial and further training to professionals involved with cyber security.

The research activities at The Hague University of Applied Sciences are related to The Next Economy, Quality of Life, Good Governance for a Safe World and Learning in a Network Society.

Research is important for THUAS. Curiosity is part of our DNA and this is why we are always looking for relevant questions and new answers in our field. We do that in close collaboration with professionals from qualified practices and stakeholders from the wider society.

The THUAS Alumni Network is the perfect informal way to expand your network. It is both worthwhile and relevant when looking for your first job or making a career move. We already have more than 80,000 alumni worldwide in our network, which is not only enormous and valuable, but also offers a wide range of knowledge and experience.

Prospective and current students can find answers to any of their questions at our Study & Career Centre (SCC). Prospective students can find out more about our degree programmes on Open Days and at the various information fairs. And of course the SCC is available to provide consultations or workshops to help them make their choice. The SCC is also the first port of call for current students with questions. By providing information materials, tests, assessments and advice, the SCC assists students in making their study or career choices.
