Agricultural engineers use GPS satellite positioning to control construction and agricultural vehicles with auto guidance accuracy of 1 cm. They are developing biotech sensors to monitor plant and seed DNA to improve national security and produce high-value pharmacological crops.

Agricultural engineers are leaders in creating and adding sensors to vehicles subjected to hostile environments.
