Program Objectives for Students

The Finance program at Southern Illinois University gives undergraduate finance students the basic understanding of finance systems.
Graduates of the program should be able to effectively communicate in both oral and written formats in a business setting and apply their knowledge of finance to unstructured problems.
They will be prepared to work effectively as part of a team and in a computer-based environment.

Choose from our more than 200 undergraduate programs (Majors) in eight different colleges. Determine if you meet our minimum requirements to a Bachelor's (undergraduate) program for:

freshmen - fewer than 26 college credits
transfer - more than 26 college credits

Submit an application and $40 fee on-line along with:

Transcripts from high school and/or college

English Proficiency

A financial statement - showing a minimum of $40,000 within the last 6 months

No SAT is required for admission, unless you want to apply for a merit scholarship award (minimum SAT score required)
