Overview

The Computer Science program at The University of Arizona encompasses algorithms, programming languages, compilers, databases, artificial intelligence and more. Students cultivate the skills to design, develop and test computer programs and systems and learn to apply mathematical methodologies to solve computational tasks.

Students pursuing the B.S. in Computer Science take advanced math courses and lab coursework. Eligible applicants to this degree are first admitted as pre-majors. Once students satisfy criteria, they're admitted to the Computer Science major. They study alongside the program's esteemed faculty, learning from faculty members' real-world experiences and enjoying the opportunities to work on impactful research in state-of-the-art facilities.
