The health of the mouth can affect the health of the entire body. Infection and inflammation of the teeth and gums can have long-term systemic consequences.

In the Dental Hygiene program at University of New Haven, you will learn important prevention and detection skills as you become both a knowledgeable practitioner and a guardian of your patients’ health.

Submit OFFICIAL/notarized/attested/or certified copies of ORIGINAL senior secondary/high school records. Must adhere to the admission criteria and procedure for the full-time freshman students listed above.

Submit at least one letter of recommendation.

A personal essay is required.

All non-native English language speakers must demonstrate English language competency by providing a TOEFL score of 80 on the internet based test (iBT) or an IELTS score of 6.5.
An interview with the Dental Hygiene Program Director is optional.
