The Industrial Engineering program offered by University of Arkansas provides a foundation in mathematics, science, humanities and social sciences, engineering science, and engineering design to produce Industrial Engineers with the intellectual, technical, and professional competence to develop, implement, and manage industrial engineering solutions to complex problems in industry, government, and society.

Graduates with B.S. in Industrial Engineering from University of Arkansas will gain:

  • An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics

General requirements

  • New freshman applicants should have a high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, and an ACT score of 20 or higher, or the SAT equivalent 

Freshman applicants who did not graduate from an Arkansas public school or Arkansas public charter school should complete (or be in the process of completing) a minimum of 16 high school academic units as follows:

  • 4 units of English
  • 4 units of Math
  • 3 units of Sciences with lab experience
  • 3 units of Social Science
  • Other Subjects: 1/2 unit of Oral Communication, 1/2 unit of Physical Education, 1/2 unit of Health and Safety, 1/2 unit of Fine Art.
