With an emphasis on leadership, our education degrees cultivate teachers who are ready to lead in their classrooms, on their teams, and in their school districts. Our seven different education degrees — Primary Education and Special Education Dual Preparation, Middle Childhood & Special Education Dual Preparation, Secondary Education & Special Education Dual Preparation, Secondary Education Preparation, Wellness Education & Special Education Dual Preparation, plus a non-licensure Educational Studies major — and additional Teacher Leader Certificate can set you on the path towards your educational dreams.

Marietta College is the first in Ohio to offer fully blended licensure programs — which means our teacher candidates graduate with licenses that allow them to teach in their specific grade band and as an intervention specialist in that grade band. Marietta's Wellness Education and Special Education program is the only one of its kind in the nation. Marietta is also one of the early leaders in the Science of Reading, which is newly mandated in the state of Ohio. Our students receive Science of Reading training that meets the state mandate before they graduate.

Complete International Application
Secondary school transcript, mark sheets, or certificate -- all records must be in original language format and be accompanied by NACES certified English translations (we recommend WES). Your transcript should include the subjects studied and the grades or marks for each subject. Records filed for admission are not returned; please send CERTIFIED photocopies if the documents cannot easily be replaced.
Official University or College transcripts if applicable -- you must submit an original language copy and a certified English translated copy of the transcript.
Official Financial Statement -- must be signed by a bank official and/or official sponsor. (Must certify that appropriate financial support will be provided for a minimum of one full year of study.
