Overview
This interdisciplinary program, with its roots in Oxford University, brings together three disciplines that are foundational to our society. Through philosophy’s pursuit of wisdom, political science’s examination of governance and community and economics’ understanding of human flourishing, you will encounter an educational experience that honors both tradition and innovation.Recognized by Forbes as “the college major of the moment,” PPE programs are on the rise across the nation. Focusing on the analytical skills and moral clarity needed to address society’s most pressing challenges, you will tap your potential to make meaningful contributions in law, governance, business and civil society while remaining grounded in Christian principles of service and stewardship.
Houston Christian University’s Philosophy, Politics, and Economics program welcomes students who seek both intellectual depth and practical preparation for lives of purpose. This curriculum invites exploration of profound questions about justice, human dignity and the common good while fostering the critical thinking skills essential for effective leadership. Throughout your studies, faculty mentors will guide you in developing the skill to ask the right questions, the discernment to consider different perspectives and the conviction to lead with integrity.
