General requirements
- Complete Houston Christian University’s online Application for Admission
- Request your academic transcripts be sent to HCU’s International Admissions. Any university coursework completed outside the U.S. must first be evaluated by a recognized foreign transcript evaluation agency.
- Provide proof of English proficiency through TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, or ACT scores; OR completion of two collegiate English courses in the U.S.; OR a certificate from an approved HCU English Language Program; OR a bachelor’s degree from an English-instructed institution.
- Submit a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity) and any applicable U.S. visa, USCIS Notice of Action, and I-94, if currently in the U.S.
- F1 applicants only: submit a Financial Affidavit and proof of funds for one academic year, plus I-20 and Transfer-In Form if applicable.
