During your first four years, you can complete a bachelor’s degree at Seton Hall in any subject of your choosing, as long as you take all of the prerequisite courses required for the School of Medicine.

After the completion of your bachelor’s degree and admission to the School of Medicine, students will start their coursework at the School of Medicine (SOM) in July. The SOM has designed an innovative curriculum which explores integrative health, continuity of care and social determinants of health. The SOM curriculum is designed in three phases. Phase I, which is approximately 16 months focuses on science, skills and reasoning skills. Phase II is the immersion phase which is 20 months and focuses on clerkships and advanced clinical rotations. At the end of their third year, students begin phase III in which they choose their own path. This may include residency, a global health immersion, intensive research, community health immersion or a joint degree program.This joint-degree offering with the School of Medicine is exclusive to Seton Hall University. If you meet all of the outlined continuation requirements, you are guaranteed an interview with the School of Medicine during your fourth year of undergraduate study. Your performance during the interview will be a primary factor in determining your admission to the SOM. For this reason, the joint-degree program cannot guarantee you admission to the SOM. Having the guarantee of an interview, however, is a significant advantage as only a small percentage of applicants to the SOM will be granted an interview, which is a required part of the application process for all students.

Complete and submit an online application to Seton Hall and pay your $65 application fee (non-refundable).
Request that a Counselor Report form and your official High School transcript be sent to Seton Hall University. You can request these documents be sent electronically through Parchment Exchange, the Seton Hall Application, or the Common Application. You can also have these documents sent by mail to the Office of Admissions, 400 South Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ 07079.
Have the results of your standardized test (SAT or ACT) reported electronically to the Office of Admissions by the College Board or ACT. If you wish to apply without submitting your scores, you may also select test-optional admission on your application for admission.
Have a teacher or mentor submit the Teacher Evaluation form online through our online application or mail us a paper letter of recommendation.
