Our five-year dual-degree program allows you to earn your B.S. in Chemistry at Seton Hall University and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. Earning two degrees in just five years will give students the skills and experiences to be more versatile and marketable when pursuing future employment or education.

Key facts

When students complete their undergraduate chemistry degree at Seton Hall, they will then move on to Stevens Institute of Technology to pursue their master's degree in chemical engineering. Stevens is located in Hoboken, New Jersey — only about 12 miles from Seton Hall’s campus — and its waterfront campus offers breathtaking views of the New York City skyline.

At Seton Hall, students fulfill the College of Arts and Sciences’ core curriculum requirements and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry requirements for an American Chemical Society certified degree in chemistry. After three years, you’ll transfer to Stevens to continue your engineering training.

Complete and submit an online application to Seton Hall and pay your $65 application fee (non-refundable).
Request that a Counselor Report form and your official High School transcript be sent to Seton Hall University. You can request these documents be sent electronically through Parchment Exchange, the Seton Hall Application, or the Common Application. You can also have these documents sent by mail to the Office of Admissions, 400 South Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ 07079.
Have the results of your standardized test (SAT or ACT) reported electronically to the Office of Admissions by the College Board or ACT. If you wish to apply without submitting your scores, you may also select test-optional admission on your application for admission.
Have a teacher or mentor submit the Teacher Evaluation form online through our online application or mail us a paper letter of recommendation.
