Overview
The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Digital Media at University of West Florida is a stand-alone degree designed to prepare students for careers in the evolving field of visual communication. With nearly half of the students in the Department of Art and Design pursuing graphic design, this program was created to meet student needs and align with professional trends across design and illustration industries.
UWF’s program blends traditional fine art training with modern digital techniques in a collaborative, hands-on environment. One distinctive feature of the program is its collaboration with UWF’s College of Health. Students have access to the Anatomage Lab, a state-of-the-art, interactive anatomy learning tool that enhances their understanding of the human body. Through the Anatomage Table, students study musculature, skeletal systems, vasculature, and organs in 3D. This deeper anatomical knowledge strengthens their figure drawing and illustration skills, especially for those interested in medical and scientific illustration. What You Will Learn
