Anesthesiologist Assistant Career

Nurse Anesthetists - Administer anesthesia, monitor patient's vital signs, and oversee patient recovery from anesthesia. May assist anesthesiologists, surgeons, other physicians, or dentists. Must be registered nurses who have specialized graduate education.
Physician Assistant - Provide healthcare services typically performed by a physician, under the supervision of a physician. Conduct complete physicals, provide treatment, and counsel patients. May, in some cases, prescribe medication. Must graduate from an accredited educational program for physician assistants.
Anesthesiologist Assistants - Assist anesthesiologists in the administration of anesthesia for surgical and non-surgical procedures. Monitor patient status and provide patient care during surgical treatment.

undergraduate admission (dual admission) weighted high school gpa: 3.5 or higher
undergraduate admission test scores (dual admission): 4+ track: 1270 sat or 27 act; 3+ track: 1360 sat or 30 act (clt equivalent)
3+ accelerated track requires entry with college-level science credits, specifically chemistry; without transferable chemistry credits students enter the 4+ track
you must complete a bachelor's degree in any major to be eligible for the m.s. in anesthesia
gre minimum scores: 155 quantitative, 150 verbal, 3.5 writing (all minimum scores must be achieved on the same test attempt; no superscoring)
