The Biology degree at Montana State University Billings provides students with a solid foundation in the biological sciences while still providing them with the flexibility to focus on areas of interest such as botany, microbiology, or cell biology.

General requirements

Applicants must meet one academic criterion, either a minimum GPA of 2.5 or ranking in the upper half of their high school graduating class.
Applicants who do not meet minimum academic criteria are encouraged to apply and will be reviewed individually.
Applicants must have graduated from a state‑accredited high school, completed the GED or HiSET, or be at least 16 years old and beyond compulsory attendance age in Montana.
Applicants from homeschooling or unaccredited schools may qualify through satisfactory ACT, SAT, or approved test performance.
Applicants must meet secondary education requirements through high school graduation or an approved equivalency exam.
College preparatory coursework must include English, mathematics through Algebra II, social studies, laboratory science, and approved electives.
Admission requirements are governed by Montana Board of Regents policies and institutional discretion.
