With the Emerging Media program offered by Frostburg State University you’ll grow into a thoughtful, skilled professional ready to bridge the gap between people and information wherever you work. In this program, you'll share and evaluate effective messaging to large, targeted audiences.

Learning Outcomes

In addition to the program coursework, you'll have a variety of ways to practice your knowledge and skills through a multitude of on-campus experiential learning opportunities - including our student-run TV station! While these opportunities add another layer of enrichment to your FSU experience, your coursework will be equally rewarding and teaches you to:

Be media literate, especially in the age of digital media.
Learn about public communication and how to research and write for various audiences across a range of media platforms, including mobile media.
Allow your creativity, hard work and knowledge to shine through creative student media projects that highlight career readiness.

Complete the Application for Admission. Your name must match your passport.
Pay the one-time $45 application fee. Pay online, or use check/money order (no cash).
Submit official academic transcripts from all schools attended. Must include grades, exam sheets, and certificates.
ALL TRANSCRIPTS including high school (only for first year students), and university levels must go through a Course-by-Course foreign credential evaluation report issued by one of the following agencies: Education Credential Evaluators, Inc (ECE); International; Consultants of Delaware, Inc; Josef Silney & Associates, Inc; World Education Services (WES).
Submit the Financial Certification Form with proof of support for one full year of study.
Provide a recent bank statement (less than 6 months old) with official letterhead, signed by a bank officer.
Proof of English Proficiency.
Submit a copy of your passport ID page.
