Overview

Through the Renewable Energy Technology program, you will develop the skills needed to design, build, maintain and assess the performance of technological systems, including renewable energy, energy storage, electric vehicles, permaculture, sustainable water and wastewater technologies and many others.

With Appalachian State University’s Boone campus acting as a living-learning laboratory, you will have the opportunity to interact with photovoltaic (PV) systems and wind turbines on campus, solar vehicles at our Team Sunergy shop, and high-performance research greenhouses at App State’s Sustainable Development Teaching and Research Farm, operating renewable energy systems throughout the community.
