These degree programs, shared between and overseen by the Departments of Biology and Chemistry & Biochemistry and the Center for Pre-Health Professions from Abilene Christian University, are intended to prepare students for various health professions and graduate programs. - Bachelor of Science - The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Biomedical Sciences degree program integrates all required and recommended courses for various health professions career pathways such as pre-medical, pre-dental, and other options. This degree’s focus is in areas essential to the science of human health and will prepare students for various health professions programs, graduate programs in biomedical research, and professional careers in the healthcare industry.
- Bachelor of Arts - The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Biomedical Sciences degree program will prepare students for health professions graduate programs that do not require as many science classes. Students have the flexibility to tailor their degree to pursue other careers in the healthcare industry.

General requirements
- Complete the admission application and ensure all information (including contact details) is accurate and complete. Submit the $50 application fee.
- Submit one of the following tests: SAT, ACT, IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo. Students who do not meet the minimum requirement may still be considered through a comprehensive review and may need to take remedial English courses. All international students must provide proof of English proficiency unless they:
- Are citizens of an English-proficiency-exempt country
- Completed 2 consecutive years at a U.S. high school
- Are transferring 24+ credits from an accredited U.S. university
- Submit official high school transcripts, diploma/leaving certificate, and exam results. Unofficial transcripts can be used for application review, but official documents are required for final enrollment. Documents must be in the original language with official English translations if needed.
