METAL (Maryville Emerging Technology Application Lab) is an experiential, unpaid internship opportunity for students to get hands on experience developing, deploying and analyzing AI use for Maryville university and its learner community. Students work with Maryville faculty and tech department staff on AI tooling and solutions that provide an impact to learners while creating valuable real-world job experience. This offering can be taken by both online and on ground students as part of their computer science degree electives.
