Dual degree students are ensured admission to the Master of Science in Physician Associate Studies program provided they continue, as undergraduate students, to meet program-specific criteria to progress into graduate program enrollment.

Students complete their bachelor’s degree in biology, health science, exercise science or neuroscience in four years of undergraduate study, while completing the required physician associate (PA) prerequisites. Students then move seamlessly into the 27-month graduate program.

In Sacred Heart’s Bachelor’s-Master of Science in Physician Associate Studies dual degree program, you’ll build skills and confidence to enter this in-demand field. The values-based 4+27-month program, ranked among the top in the nation, provides students with opportunities to learn from world-class physicians, physician associates and health care professionals in SHU’s dedicated, state-of-the-art medical skills labs at SHU’s Tandet Center in Stamford Hospital and a range of clinical settings.

The program emphasizes small class size, hands-on learning and a patient-centric approach. You’ll begin clinical experiences in your first year and gain real-life experience with direct patient care across disciplines, including internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, women’s health and more.
