In the field of psychology, we study the relationship between brain function, behavior, emotions, and the environment, and we use these findings to deepen our understanding of people. Psychologists want to make positive contributions to society, to our culture, and to our world. The Psychology department provides courses to meet a variety of student goals such as earning an Associate in Arts-Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA) degree, preparing to transfer to bachelor’s degree programs (and beyond), meeting general education requirements, and learning about ourselves and others.
