Overview
Through the application of theory, research, and translation of outcomes, the student will analyse clients, community, public health, technology, aging, and vulnerable populations with a focus on healthcare quality, safety, and improved outcomes.
This Nursing (RN to BSN) programme from Miami Regional University prepares the successful and previously licensed registered nurse graduate to continue in their current employment, seek additional employment opportunities or assume additional responsibilities within the field of nursing or healthcare.

Upon completion of this programme, the graduate will be able to:

- Use interprofessional communication and collaboration skills to deliver evidence-based, client-cantered care
- Use evidence-based practices to guide health teaching, health counselling, screening, outreach, disease and outbreak investigation, referral, and follow-up throughout the lifespan
- Demonstrate the professional standards of moral, ethical, and legal conduct
- Conduct comprehensive and focused physical, behavioural, psychological, spiritual, socioeconomic and environmental assessments of health and illness parameters in patients, using developmentally and culturally appropriate approaches

General requirements
In addition to the general admission requirements and procedures, prospective students considering admission to the RN to BSN programme must:
- Provide Official University transcripts for all courses approved for transfer (must be received by the end of the first term)
- Have an active Registered Nurse license
- Reside in Florida or a SARA member state for the duration of the programme
- Demonstrate ability to meet programme specific requirements
- All students must have a GPA of 2.5 (letter grade of C) or higher on a 4.0 scale in all the required general education courses prior to starting nursing concentration (core) courses.
