Overview
The Communication Design - Graphic Design programme from University of North Texas graduates effective conceptual thinkers and creative problem-solvers in the areas of Graphic Design and User-Experience Design.
In both concentrations, students begin by learning to use the basic elements and principles of design and apply design thinking and design process to learn concepts, technology, image-making, color theory, typography, user analysis and client needs, wireframing and prototyping as students create wide and diverse visual means of communication.

General requirements
- Students with a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 or higher are guaranteed admission to UNT. Students' GPAs will be standardized on a 4.0 GPA scale once transcripts are submitted.
- UNT is test-score-optional, however, submitting test scores can help determine admission decisions, testing exemptions and scholarship opportunities.
- An applicant's GED certificate of completion must reflect a minimum score of 165 on each of the four exams. Applicants with scores from 145-164 will be individually reviewed and required to submit additional documents, such as an essay and letters of recommendation.
