Overview

Electrical and Computer Engineering from Vanderbilt University is the backbone discipline of today’s technological explosion, from the development of microelectronics and robotics, to the emergence of quantum computing and nanodevices, and the development of embedded computing systems used in the smallest consumer gadgets to the largest industrial equipment.

Quick Facts:

You won’t be stuck in a textbook; you’ll develop hands-on skills in the labs while doing projects that will challenge and stimulate you. You’ll have access to advanced computing labs as well as instructional labs specialized for digital and analog circuits, embedded systems, control systems, and robotics. While you work in the specialty labs, you won’t be crowded, and you’ll get all the attention you need from your professors and teaching assistants.
Small classes will allow you get to know your professors and fellow students while developing the skills that you need to lead the next generation of ECE technologies and their impacts in society.
Your professors are not only experts in their fields, but also experienced mentors who will help you find the best application of your talents and interests. You will have multiple opportunities to work with professors and graduate students in a research group, or participate in a paid internship with one of hundreds of innovative companies around the world.
