Overview
Students will explore the many dimensions of criminal justice through multiple perspectives by exploring the social, cultural, political and economic factors that contribute to crime and its prevention.
The Criminology and Criminal Justice program at National Louis University offers a diverse curriculum that addresses key areas pertaining to the criminal justice system, including law enforcement, courts, probation, corrections, youth and delinquency, and the law, along with focused topics such as the influence of media, criminal behavior and the impact on victims.
Career Outlook
With a degree in Criminal Justice, you’ll be set up for a wide range of careers that are growing fast. Police and Detective positions are projected to grow 5 percent from 2019-2029, faster than the average for all occupations.
This will result in approximately 40,600 new positions over the next decade. Moreover, for those interested in law, job opportunities for paralegals and legal assistants are expected to grow 10 percent from now until 2029, much faster than average.
