Take Your Career as a Paramedic to the Next LevelThe University of New Haven is one of only a limited number of colleges and universities across the country that offers a degree competition program that gives paramedics an opportunity to advance their education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in paramedicine.

Key facts

Students entering the Paramedicine (Online) completion program from University of New Haven must already be certified as paramedics through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). Students accepted to the program will be able to waive 62 of the 80 major requirement credits through their standing as a nationally registered paramedics. Additional previous college credits may be applied up to 96 credits.

Students must also complete the remaining coursework required for earning a bachelor’s degree at the University. Our degree completion program to earn a B.S. in paramedicine can typically be completed in two years through full-time study or four years as a part-time student. Upon completion of this program students are eligible for undergraduate certificate in Emergency Medical Services Administration.

Students who participate in our online program will be able to complete their major-specific requirements through accelerated seven-and-a-half week semesters.

Students complete a non-clinical research based internship using an EMS medical evidence based model
