Overview

The Nursing - RN to BSN provides registered nurses a flexible format to complete their bachelor's degrees and expand their career options.

It's accessible 24 hours a day, and can be completed in as little as one calendar year of full-time study or up to five years of part-time study.

You can enter the program at any semester: spring, summer or fall. In the University of Kansas School of Nursing's RN to BSN program, you will refresh your skills and learn new ones, with a curriculum that will broaden your abilities in many areas, including leadership and critical thinking.

Nursing Licensure

The RN to BSN program is a post-licensure program that leads to an academic credential. As of July 1, 2020, the U.S. Department of Education implemented Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) that requires professional nursing programs to provide information on how their curriculum meets education requirements for professional licensing in each state.

Payment: $75 nonrefundable application fee

Transcript(s): Submit official transcript(s) of all college coursework. If applicable, this includes sending official scores for Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and College-Level Examination Program (CLEP).

Resume/CV

Deposit: To verify admission acceptance and secure enrollment, admitted RN to BSN program students must submit a $200 (non-refundable) enrollment deposit. This deposit is applied to the first semester's tuition and is not an additional fee.

A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 is required in all college coursework.
You must maintain current, unencumbered RN licensure in the United States. (Physical residence in the United States is not required.)
