Reflecting its Lutheran heritage, Wittenberg challenges students to become responsible global citizens, to discover their callings, and to lead personal, professional, and civic lives of creativity, service, compassion, and integrity. The nursing program’s mission, guided by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice (2008), is to prepare students with a liberal arts education for baccalaureate generalist nursing practice, and to provide a foundation for graduate education. In 2019, for the 18th year in a row, the public rated nursing as the most honest and ethical profession in America, with an 85 percent rating of high/very high, according to a recently released Gallup survey. These numbers are important because they contextualize and complement findings that show that patients benefit when nurses are leading and working to the full scope of their education.

General requirements

Certified Secondary and Post-Secondary Records. These records should be certified copies of original official records/transcripts of secondary and post-secondary school work.
Official TOEFL scores of 550 or higher, or TOEFL iBT scores of 79 or higher if your first language is any other than English: You can be exempted from the TOEFL if you score a 600 or higher on the verbal portion of the SAT. We also recognize IELTS scores. To be considered for admission, scores must exceed 6.5.
SAT: combined score of 1050 or higher
ACT: composite of 20 or higher
Two letters of recommendation.
Degree seeking International students must be a minimum age of 17 before they can apply for admission to Wittenberg University. No Student over the age of 22 can apply.
