The information systems major requires courses in business, computer science and statistics, as well as a capstone internship experience in which students apply their business and computer skills in the real world and gain firsthand knowledge of the problems raised in the field. Wittenberg’s location offers a variety of internship opportunities in the Springfield and Dayton areas. The rapid growth rate of information systems manager jobs translates into excellent job prospects for graduates of Wittenberg’s program, which aims to equip students with the programming abilities, business acumen, and oral and written communication skills required for positions such as technical projects manager, information technology vendor manager, systems or business analyst, or information technology finance manager.
