Overview
This Wildlife and Natural Resources program exposes students to applied scientific skills through field and laboratory experience and field-based research. Students will use contemporary tools and techniques for studying fish and wildlife, habitat, and ecosystem processes. Colorado State University Pueblo students will become familiar with laws, policies, regulations, and administrative processes that dictate how wildlife and natural resources are held in trust for the public.
Each concentration area meets certification requirements of the American Fisheries Society (AFS) or The Wildlife Society (TWS).
Major Concentrations
All students pursuing the Wildlife and Natural Resources BS program may select an emphasis area as a specialization to their Degree. We offer the following areas of concentration:

Goals
- To provide students with the necessary background to successfully pursue graduate study towards a professional career in wildlife and natural resources;
- To prepare students upon graduation to enter field positions in government or private industry; and,
- To supply students with the necessary coursework to obtain professional certification as associate fishery or wildlife biologists

General requirements
- Pay the $30 USD admissions fee
- In general, students must have at least a 2.0 GPA to be considered for admission
- Official high school transcripts are required for all students without transfer coursework, for any students who have transfer coursework that was earned while in high school, and for students who have completed less than 24 college-level credits after high school.
- An applicant must demonstrate the listed minimum level of English proficiency
- A financial statement regarding the resources available to the student during his or her stay in the United States is required. The combined amount of resources available to the student (and any dependents for whom the student is seeking a visa) must meet or exceed the annual cost of attendance.
