Key features
Our Engineering Technology - Applied Manufacturing Technology program builds on your manufacturing knowledge and develops leadership skills for the manufacturing and technology fields. In this program, students complete three years and earn AAS degrees at community colleges and complete the final year at Northern Illinois University by taking ten online courses.
Online courses are taught by world-class Northern Illinois University faculty who bring real industry challenges into the classroom.
Economists predict a surge in manufacturing job openings as the industry expands and highly skilled workers retire. Manufacturing jobs pay well, and a BS-AMT from NIU opens the door to management and leadership positions.
