Overview

The Department of Animal Science from University of Arkansas offers three undergraduate degree concentrations and two minors that can be individually tailored to meet a student's specific interests.

Why should I major in Animal Science?

Three concentrations prepare graduates for positions of leadership and responsibility in the production of beef and dairy cattle, swine, horses, sheep and companion animals.

Additionally, coursework in meat science, breeding, nutrition, animal health and physiology is available to refine academic experiences to match interests and prepare students for careers in the industry or placement into graduate, professional or veterinary school.
