Overview

The English - Writing and Writing Studies concentration from Bridgewater State University offers students the opportunity to practice various genres of writing, including technical and professional writing, journalistic reporting and creative writing; to study rhetoric and how cultural groups employ persuasive writing to achieve their goals; and to study the composing process writers engage in as a subject of inquiry.

No matter which Bachelor of Arts in English program you pursue at Bridgewater State University, from a BA in English education to a creative writing bachelor’s degree, you’ll gain valuable, marketable skills like the ability to think critically and creatively, write persuasively and conduct research. Upon graduating, you’ll be a desirable candidate for positions in fields from education to business.
