Overview

The first two years of the CMU CU Boulder Electrical and Computer Engineering Partnership Programme from Colorado Mesa University are taught by CMU faculty and the second two years of the programme are taught largely by CU Boulder faculty who live permanently in Grand Junction.

Career Options

The Electrical and Computer Engineering degree prepares students for careers in a wide range of industries through the rigorous study of electrical and computer engineering. Students participate in hands-on engineering design projects beginning their first year and continue to throughout their time at CMU culminating with their senior design projects.

Student Outcomes

In order to fulfill the Programme Educational Objective, specific student performance outcomes must be met at the time of graduation. These Student Outcomes for the Partnership Programme are:

An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics,

An ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors,

An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences,

An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts,

An ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
