Students are trained with the expertise necessary to function professionally on a national platform.

Through the use of state-of-the-art equipment and our new Nickerson Studios, as a student majoring in Music Production you will learn to record and edit audio, engineer live sound, as well as write music and create sound design for video games, film, TV and other media. Using MIDI and music notation software, you will integrate most aspects of music composition, arranging, and producing.

Using software like Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Finale, and Final Cut Pro, you will receive rigorous training in many areas of music production:

audio recording

audio editing

live sound

MIDI sequencing

film scoring

video game scoring

sound design for TV and film

As a Music Production major at Seattle Pacific University, you will apply your musicianship in the recording studio, the concert hall, and live church settings. Through internships, you will have access to prominent studios and live venues in the Seattle area. This area is recognized as one of the top regions for film and gaming industry, as well as an active community of live music and worship productions. Our alumni have jobs and are active in the music production industry.
