Overview

Christian Ministry students from East Texas Baptist University (ETBU) will be given the opportunity to gain a basic knowledge of God’s word, to reflect upon its theology, and to apply it personally and professionally.

Learning Outcomes

Students will (a) construct a biblical approach to ministry and (b) design a personal philosophy of ministry grounded in Scripture and tailored to his or her calling, personality, and gifting.

Students will demonstrate skills in Christian ministry such as (a) leading devotions on biblical concepts and passages and (b) planning worship services.

Students will demonstrate the ability to prepare Bible studies or sermons

Students will (a) demonstrate knowledge of the seven pillars of leadership, and/or (b) evaluate models of Christian leadership, and/or (c) demonstrate the ability to apply the principles of Christian servant leadership to ministry situations.

General requirements

The admissions process starts by submitting an Application for Admission and Financial Aid. A US$50 application fee is required for all international applications for admission, and it can be paid online.

High School or College TranscriptsOfficial copies of transcripts must be submitted from the high school or college(s) you attended prior to applying to ETBU. If the transcripts are not in English, they must be accompanied by a written translation and explanation of the grading system. College credit earned outside of the US, must be evaluated by an outside agency to be considered for transfer credit.
