The African American and African Diaspora Studies and Communication program focuses on the specialization of the study of the human communication process within the African American and African Diaspora experience.
This focus enhances the application of principles, methods, and findings of communication studies in light of the history, culture, and theories of the African American and African Diaspora experience, including an Africana perspective.
Indiana University Northwest students will integrate their communication studies emphasis (public and rhetorical communication, relational communication, media studies, or communication and culture) into the African American and African Diaspora studies major to create a systematic and coherent field of study.

- First year applicants graduate or be on track to graduate with a college prep curriculum
- SAT or ACT Test scores. Students who have been out of high school one year or more are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores unless required for admission to a specific program
