The Strategic Communication program at University of Rhode Island is specifically for adult learners who previously started, but did not complete, a four-year undergraduate degree and have been away from their studies for a period of time; and, students who have completed their associates degree.

The Strategic Communication program at University of Rhode Island allows you to develop your writing and interpersonal communication styles, hone your public speaking skills and think critically about solutions to real-world communication challenges. Explore your interests through electives in areas such as advertising, marketing, digital media, web design and sports media.

Complete the Common Application. There is a $65 application fee payable online.
Scans/copies of original academic documents are accepted for admission purposes.
Official academic documents must be presented to the Office of Undergraduate Admission at the time of enrollment.
Submit certified English translations of all secondary (high school) and post-secondary (if applicable) coursework not written in English.
Submit official TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo scores. Scores must be sent to URI directly by the testing agency.
