The Music Performance programme is offered by University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Students in this track learn how to audition and enter competitions, to refine and improve their performance skills, and to market themselves as professional musicians.

A degree in performance helps you take your musical abilities to the next level and prepare to perform as a soloist or in an ensemble. The music faculty at UMHB offers vocal instructors who have helped their students become recognized and honored in regional and national competitions each year.

Piano performance majors have the opportunity to study with gifted pianists who are dedicated teachers as well. All faculty members serve as excellent mentors who can guide their students toward a successful musical career.

Since the Department of Music at UMHB is focused on undergraduate learning, students do not have to compete against graduate students for lead roles in operas and musical theater productions or for solos in choir or wind ensemble pieces.

The Sue & Frank Mayborn Performing Arts Center offers a state-of-the-art venue for instrumental and vocal performances, giving students many opportunities throughout the year to perform and share their talents with local patrons as well as members of the campus community.

Complete your International Application form online and submit your non-refundable $75 application fee. You can pay when you submit your online application or choose one of our other payment options.

Submit your high school transcripts including proof of program completion, such as a high school diploma or certificate. If you have not already graduated, you should submit proof of your program completion when it is received. Please note that submitted materials should be translated into English.

Submit proof of English Proficiency in the form of a TOEFL or IELTS scorecard. UMHB offers both intermediate and advanced ESOL courses for international students. UMHB does not offer admission for full-time English language study.

Submit proof of current meningitis vaccine or booster.

Submit the required Statement of Understanding. You may also submit the optional FERPA Release Form.
