Overview

You’ll learn from and work closely with our Chemistry and Biochemistry faculty who are active scientists. You’ll have opportunities to participate in research projects, attend conferences, publish in academic journals, and gain hands-on experience through internships.

Our Biochemistry - ACS-certified degree provides broader training, more lab and research experience, and strong preparation for admission into competitive graduate and professional programs in science, medicine, dentistry, or for a career in biochemistry.

What You'll Learn

You will learn what happens below the surface of humans, plants, animals and other organisms. You will explore how food becomes energy, what causes and what cures diseases, the ways that chemistry controls your emotions and moods, and more.

You will learn to research, collect and analyze data, communicate complex ideas, and present findings – all critical skills for successful scientists, whether they pursue careers inside or outside the lab setting.
