Overview

Our students learn to transition into the Accounting profession from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, through student organizations, internships, a voluntary income tax assistance program and international programs. Interactive and rigorous classes focus on developing proficiencies in technical accounting, as well as current technology and communication skills. Our students participate in a senior assignment where they research recent accounting issues, which is unique to SIUE.

High school coursework

Students with a cumulative 2.6 high school GPA (4.0 scale); cumulative 2.0 high school GPA (4.0 scale) and 990 SAT ERW + M or 19 ACT; or rank in the top 10% of their high school graduating class will be automatically admitted to SIUE. Students with a cumulative 2.0-2.59 high school GPA (4.0 scale) will be considered by the Admission Review Committee, which requires a 7th semester high school transcript and statement. Priority consideration for admission will be given to students whose applications are complete by the priority deadline of December 1. Applications received after the priority deadline are subject to additional review by the Admissions Review Committee. Applications completed after the final application deadline will not be considered for admission.

SAT/ACT scores are not required for admission consideration. However, if you prefer to submit your test scores, our SAT code is 1759 and our ACT code is 1147.
