Marketing is “the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.” In other words, marketing is the study of determining what customers want and how to deliver it to them. The curriculum for marketing majors (BSBA-MKG) is designed for students who want to study consumer needs and develop products and services to meet those needs. Marketing students learn the theoretical concepts of marketing and how to apply these concepts in a practical sense. A degree in marketing provides students with many career opportunities, including: consulting, market research, advertising, retail, public relations, and sales. The University of Florida Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Marketing degree program provides students with a strong foundation in a variety of business disciplines. In addition to completing all university requirements, students take introductory courses in accounting and economics as well as core courses in areas ranging from business law and international business to finance, management and marketing.
